Five Injured When Car and School Bus Collide in Ontario

The single occupant of the school bus was not injured

A car and a school bus collided near the border of Chino and Ontario Tuesday afternoon, leaving five people in the smaller vehicle injured, including children, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 1 p.m. at Schaefer and Euclid avenues, according to a spokesperson for the Chino Valley Fire Department.

The single occupant of the school bus, operated by Chino Valley Unified School District, was not injured.

The blue sedan, which appeared crushed next to the bus at the crash scene, contained a driver and four other occupants.

"All five passengers were injured, and a few of the kids have received severe injuries," said Corporal Bill Russell of the Ontario Police Department.
