Flash flooding and debris flows could occur over recent burn scar zones like the Cranston and Valley Fire.

Thunderstorms are in the forecast.

Monsoon moisture combined with warm afternoon temperatures will create thunderstorms and bring several weather hazards.

The storms will develop in the mountains and deserts between midday and just after sunset. A flash flood watch will be in effect Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. when locally heavy rainfall is expected.

Flash flooding and debris flows could occur over recent burn scar zones like the Cranston and Valley Fire. In addition to the heavy rain, residents in the affected areas are advised to watch out for lightning and strong winds.
