Suspicious Device Prompts Ontario Airport Terminal Evacuation

A terminal at the Ontario International Airport was evacuated on Thursday after a report of a suspicious device in checked baggage, officials said.

There was no threat and the airport returned to normal operations late Thursday afternoon, said Nico Melendez, a spokesman for the Transportation Security Administration.

Several flights landed at the airport during the incident and the passengers had to remain aboard the planes as officials did not want people entering the evacuated terminal.
