Former LA College Foundation Executive Pleads Guilty to Embezzlement Charges

A former college foundation executive has pleaded guilty to using foundation funds to pay for personal expenditures and give herself unauthorized bonuses.

Jiah Chung, 44, the former executive director of the Los Angeles Trade-Technical College Foundation, entered a guilty plea Friday to embezzlement charges.

She embezzled the funds between 2009 and 2011, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Chung was sentenced to pay $50,500 in restitution, perform 60 days of California Department of Transportation service and three years of probation.
