Photos that authorities believe were taken by Rodney Alcala in the late 1970s are leading to more tips.

Four of the photos have been linked to missing women, the OC Register reported. Huntington Beach police released more than 100 photographs last week.

The 66-year-old Alcala was convicted last month of killing four women and a 12-year-old girl in the 1970s. Police are attempting to determine whether he killed other women who posed for him in the photos.

Detective Sgt. Aaron Smith told the Register none of the connections have been confirmed yet. Ten detectives are comparing family photos of the missing women to ones found in Alcala's Seattle storage locker and creating a timeline of Alcala's movements during that decade.

The Register reported that police have received about 50 calls regarding the photos, which were released one week ago.
