Los Angeles Unified School officials held a meeting with parents at Mt. Gleason Middle School in Sunland Tuesday night in a search for answers about the LAUSD policy and procedures for handling allegations of teacher misconduct.

"Policies need to be changed," said Danielle Harmon, parent. "Kids need to be listened to and kids aren’t being listened to."

Last week, a teacher was removed from the school after three students alleged inappropriate contact. Los Angeles Police are investigating.

Police said the students reported the contact to them, and an investigator in the juvenile division conducted the interviews with the students.

LAUSD officials said so far the teacher has not been identified because no arrests have been made.
