Thieves Smash Through Glass Door of Flame Broiler, Take Off With Safe

Burglars smashed the front door of a Fullerton restaurant early Friday morning, before running away with an unknown amount of cash, police said.

The burglary was reported at around 1:15 a.m. at The Flame Broiler restaurant, located in the 1200 block of East Chapman Avenue, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

Two burglars stole an unknown amount of cash and possibly a safe before fleeing in a getaway car, which police described as a white Chevy Malibu.

The owner said she'll provide police with surveillance video, which shows the burglars in masks and hoodies, hunched over.

Police said this incident was a lot similar to other smash-and-grab burglaries in the Orange County and Whittier areas.
