A man was discovered dead in a Garden Grove home, and despite first responders working to save his 7-year-old son, the child later died Saturday.
Garden Grove police arrived at the home in the 12400 block of Meade Street at 9 a.m.
Before officers arrived, the person who called 911 grabbed the 7-year-old from the home and pulled the child outside, police said.
The boy's father -- who has yet to be identified -- was 62 years old.
Officers used life-saving measures before taking the child to the hospital. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities were investigating the deaths and had no further information.
