Arrest Made in Gardena, Lynwood Shootings That Killed Two

In all, four people were shot in Gardena, including a pregnant woman, with Sanchez pronounced dead on the scene.

Selvin Salazar, 25, was arrested Wednesday related to the Gardena and Lynwood shootings that left two people dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Salazar is accused of killing 28-year-old Delores Sanchez in Gardena, where the suspect allegedly became agitated and began shooting at approximately 4 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

In all, four people were shot in Gardena, including a pregnant woman believed to be the gunman's girlfriend. The pregnant woman and her baby are both expected to survive, but Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene. 

After the shooting in Gardena early Tuesday morning, investigators allege the suspect left the scene with two people that were also at the location. When the trio reached the southbound 710 Freeway at the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard exit in the city of Lynwood, the suspect allegedly shot and killed a second person, Francisco Montes, 29.

The female passenger in the vehicle was able to flee the scene unharmed according to the LA County Sheriff's Department.

LASD said that the investigation is ongoing and no motive was immediately known. The suspect is being held without bail.
