An Orange County Sheriff's Deputy said someone stole two loaded guns, his badge and identification from his car Wednesday night.

The Deputy was off-duty and eating at Clearman's North Woods Inn restaurant on Firestone Boulevard in La Mirada. When he returned to his parked car, he realized that he had been robbed.

He reported the theft to the Los Angeles Sheriff Department around 9 p.m.

Investigators believe the thief broke into the car through the driver's side door. They are examining surveillance video to see if they can identify the suspect.

Deputies are concerned that the suspect could use the stolen items to impersonate an officer.
