Or? You can seek out one of Southern California's quirkier takes on the margarita. Nope, the places below aren't just crafting the tequila-terrific sip on Friday, Feb. 22, which is indeed National Margarita Day.

Los Balcones, in Hollywood, if you like seafood with your drink, meaning in your drink. The Peruvian restaurant adds a large Spanish prawn to its Aquachile Margarita, which also boasts two ounces of Don Julia 1942. Price? That was a hint: It's $42.
Birds and Bees, in DTLA, is also adding something offbeat to a margarita, but you've seen this element in the vicinity of the drink before. The margarita is called the Guac and Roll, and it rocks avocado cordial, in the drink. Also? There's tequila that's been infused with corn chips. Sipping your guac as you sip your marg? Genius. Also genius: The classic margarita is $8 on Feb. 22.
Davios Northern Italian Steakhouse, in Irvine, has chosen to include a spirit in its margarita that isn't often seen on the margarita menu: Campari. The Italian Margarita also includes Limoncello, as well as some more traditional margarita elements, making it a delicious sippable fusion of two great cultural cuisines.

Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen, in Brea and Irvine, will go the one-day-only route with one margarita in particular: El Palomar Margarita. Serrano chili gives it kick, and the made-in-house hibiscus tea lends a different sort of sweetness than you usually get with the beverage. Also? Look for happy hour pricing all day on Feb. 22.
Margaritaville, at Universal City Walk, will rock a low, low special for Feb. 22: Look for $3.99 margaritas traditional margaritas. And, yep: The Great Margarita Toast will happen at, you guessed it, 5 p.m. (because it's always 5 o'clock somewhere).
