Teen Plotted to Kill Mom: Cops

The teen and two friends are in juvenile detention on suspicion of attempted murder

A Hesperia 13-year-old and two of her friends were under arrest Tuesday for the attempted murder of the girl's mother, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said.

The victim called authorities after her daughter and two 14-year-old friends attacked her Tuesday morning, according to sheriff's department spokeswoman Susan Rose.

The teen complained her mother was too strict with curfew and too critical of her friends, Rose said.

There were three separate attempts on the woman's life, but she did not seek medical attention.

The victim initially reported her daughter kidnapped, but investigators determined it was part of an alleged conspiracy among the teens, who are now in juvenile detention on suspicion of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and burglary.
