1 Dead, 1 Wounded in Shooting With Deputy at Hesperia Wal-Mart

A person was dead and another was wounded after a shooting with at least one deputy in a parking lot at a Hesperia Wal-Mart Wednesday morning.

After fire officials received a call around 7:58 Wednesday morning, two people were taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds from the Wal-Mart in the 13400 block of Main Street in Hesperia, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department. 

San Bernardino sheriff's officials tweeted they were responding to an officer-involved shooting at the location just before 9 a.m.

Around 11 a.m., sheriff's officials revealed one person had died, one person was injured and another was detained for questioning.

Sheriff's officials said no deputies were injured.

What led up to the shooting was not immediately clear.
