Firefighters Save Cat, Wardrobe in Hollywood Recording Studio Fire

The fire at 1041 Production Studios was knocked down in about 20 minutes

Firefighters saved a family cat and rented clothes used for television commercial shoots after responding to fire Monday night at a Hollywood recording studio.

Crews knocked down the fire at the 1041 Productions building -- 1041 N. Orange Drive, near Santa Monica Boulevard -- in about 20 minutes. More than 70 firefighters responded to the fire, which was reported at about 7 p.m.

Stacey Anne was on a location shoot Monday before she returned to the studio.

"The firemen saved all my wardrobe, and it's fabulous because that's all rental," she said. "They saved the day."

About 85 percent of the building was saved. Members of "Dead Day Revolution" were at the studio Monday night preparing for an upcoming concert at Saddle Ranch in Studio City.

"It was really smoky back there," said Mike Sandoz, of Dead Day Revolution. "We're going to have to figure out where we're going to practice before the show."

No injuries were reported. Firefighters also saved a cat, 3-year-old Sable.

Authorities have not said what caused the fire.
