Sheriff's homicide detectives were investigating the "unknown" death of a 24-year-old woman in La Puente on Sunday.
The woman was found in the 13200 block of East Gyna Lane in La Puente on Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are trying to determine if the woman's death was a homicide, said sheriff's Lt. John Corina.
"It doesn't look natural. So we're going to treat it as a homicide until we determine it's otherwise — something different," Corina added.
Authorities are looking at surveillance footage from homes in the neighborhood to see if anything suspicious comes up.
Officials were seen combing through a car parked in front of a neighbor's home. An unidentified person was also spotted being taken away in a patrol car.
