Authorities on Tuesday were investigating the discovery of human remains found in Montebello.

Firefighters and police from Montebello responded to San Gabriel Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue near the Whittier Narrows Dam looking for a body.

The call came in after 4 p.m. of the discovery of human skeletal remains in the 900 block of North Lincoln Avenue, officials said.

No other details were immediately available.
