Magnitude 3.1 Earthquake Rattles Huntington Beach

A preliminary magnitude 3.1 earthquake rattled the Huntington Beach area early Monday morning, USGS reported.

The earthquake was reported just before 3:40 a.m. three miles from Huntington Beach, according to the U.S. Geological survey. There were no reports of any injuries or damage.

Weak to light shaking was reported in Huntington Beach, Westminster, Fountain Valley and Long Beach.

This was the second quake to strike the Huntington Beach area within four hours.
