Los Angeles County Sheriff's detectives arrested a suspect who allegedly posed as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent.

Araceli Martinez, 47, allegedly preyed on undocumented immigrants, bilking them out of thousands of dollars, investigators said.

Fourteen victims said they each paid Martinez between $4,000 and $8,000 in exchange for obtaining what they believed was legal resident status.

Sheriff's detectives arrested Martinez at LAX, just minutes before she was scheduled to board a flight to Mexico.

Martinez was booked on suspicion of theft by false pretenses, and her bail set at $335,000.
