Two different Inland Empire cities are experiencing the same fears as parents in Lake Elsinore and Nuevo are on alert as authorities are investigating two attempted kidnappings.

Teachers in the area described the suspect – a 60-year-old Latino man with dark hair, a medium build and dark-colored glasses, with a possible tattoo on his forearm – in their Lake Elsinore classrooms, one 14-year-old student said.

A man tried to kidnap an 11-year-old boy Monday afternoon as he was walking home from school on Lincoln Street, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies. The boy was able to fight and evade his attacker.

Teachers in Nuevo also detailed a suspect to their students, describing a thin 20- to 30-year-old Latino man standing 6 feet tall with short black hair, brown eyes and a thin moustache.

The Nuevo suspect, who attempted to abduct a 15-year-old girl walking down Lake View Street Monday afternoon, is described as having two distinctive scars under his right eye.
