LA Traffic Reporter Injured in Plane Crash
The single engine Cessna 182 caught fire when it crashed in a field near Corona Airport Friday evening.

Longtime KFI-AM (640) traffic reporter Mike Nolan was injured in a plane crash Friday evening in Corona, the radio station reports.
The single engine Cessna 182 – registered to Nolan – caught fire when it crashed in a field 1 1/2 miles east of the Corona Airport around 6:30 p.m., Allen Kenitzer of the Federal Aviation Administration, told City News Service.
KFI reports that engine malfunction appeared to be the primary cause. Authorities say the official cause of the crash is under investigation.
Nolan's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, according to the station.
There was another person on board during the crash. The station reports their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
They were both taken to hospitals, a Corona Police Department dispatcher said.
The plane hit power lines, sending them down near River Road and Lincoln Avenue, the dispatcher said.
