One of Marshals' “Most Wanted” Arrested in Woodland Hills

One of the U.S. Marshals Service's 15 most wanted criminals was arrested Wednesday in Woodland Hills, authorities said.

Keith Hasson, 45, who had been wanted since July 2005 on a warrant issued in Albuquerque, N.M., was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service near Shoup Avenue and Victory Boulevard on Wednesday morning, Los Angeles police said.

Authorities are searching for a man who fled the scene and is believed to be one of Hasson's associates.

Hasson allegedly led an organization that distributed cocaine and marijuana throughout the United States.

He has an extensive criminal history that includes arrests for violent crimes including attempted murder, robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

He was wanted on a 2005 federal indictment in New Mexico, the Marshals Service said.
