They're home!!

The 72 member Los Angeles County Urban Search and Rescue Squad returned from a two-week deployment in Haiti Thursday night, as happy loved ones gathered to welcome them.

The team contributed directly to nine rescues, including a memorable scene featuring a Haitian woman who sang for joy as she was pulled from the rubble. The White House also posted some of the team's work on YouTube, to show what American tax dollars were doing to help out in Haiti.

The Los Angeles County squad, along with a similarly equipped squad from Virginia, were first on the ground in Haiti. Thursday night, they were just ready for some TLC at home.

The squad flew into Los Angeles International Airport late Thursday afternoon and traveled by bus to the L.A. County Fire Department's technical support center in Pacoima.

They planned to discuss their activities Thursday night, but not before enjoying their family reunions at the Pacoima facility.
