The battle against dog fighting is about to get a 24-hour tip line.
On Tuesday, District Attorney Steve Cooley will unveil the new phone number and reward program to help curb dog fighting, the Mercury News reported:
Rewards of up to $5,000 will be paid to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest or conviction of someone involved in dog fighting. Tips, given either in Spanish or English, will then be passed to law enforcement agencies.
Authorities say dog fighting is widespread in Los Angeles County, the Los Angeles Times reported:
