The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is reviewing sexual assault allegations against LA Kings player Drew Doughty, authorities said Tuesday.

The alleged incident happened March 1 at Baja Sharkeez, located at 52 Pier Ave. in Hermosa Beach, Sgt. Robert Higgins said.

"This was not a case where he would have jumped out of the bushes," Higgins said. "It's more of 'was this consensual or not?'"

The 25-year-old victim was not identified by authorities.

Doughty's attorney Craig Renetzky told NBC4 he expects a ruling from the DA's office this week.

"It's one person making the claim, and we don't believe the claim is valid," Renetzky said.
