LAPD Arrests Man Allegedly Fought Off by Woman in Boyle Heights

A woman attacked on her way to her car in Boyle Heights fought her assailant off by biting and hitting him Saturday, police said.

Those wounds led to the arrest of a man who admitted himself to a hospital with injuries he would have recieved from the victim defending herself in the attack, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.

The woman was brought to the hospital and identified the injured man as the one who attacked her at about 3:30 a.m., when she was leaving East Luv Bar on 1st Street Saturday morning, police said.

Police didn't know at which hospital the man was arrested and they didn't release his name.

Fingerprints were recovered from the attack and will be processed on Monday, police said.
