LAPD Motorcycle Officer Taken to Hospital After Crash

The officer suffered minor injuries and was listed in good condition, officials said

A Los Angeles police motorcycle officer was being treated for injuries after colliding with a vehicle in the Mid-City area Wednesday morning, officials said.

The collision happened before 6:35 a.m. on La Brea Avenue north of Washington Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The officer was transported to the hospital in stable condition and was treated for a broken wrist, LAPD Officer Sally Madera said.

La Brea Avenue was shut down between Washington Boulevard and Pickford Street while officers investigated the crash.

Details surrounding the collision were unclear.
