Deputies took the girl to the LASD Compton Station and conducted an extensive search for the parents in the immediate area.

LASD said the parents and grandmother of the little girl walked into the Compton Sheriff's Station around 10 a.m. Sunday and were currently being interviewed by detectives and the Department of Children and Family Services.

Authorities said miscommunication between the family members led to the little girl not being supervised.
