A SoCal woman's heart-stopping encounter with a bear in her yard was caught on camera Tuesday.
Janet Tenney said at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, her golden doodle Lola alerted her to something in her yard on the 5900 block of Canyonside Road in La Crescenta.
Lola woke Tenney up, and when she investigated further, she discovered a bear in her yard.
Cubs were also digging through her trash.
As Tenney tried to get a better look through her screen door, the mama bear leaped at Tenney, swiping at her through the door.
Luckily, she and Lola were not injured.
