Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Road and Pedestrian Walkway Closures

Expect major delays with streets restricted starting Wednesday ahead of the Grand Prix in Long Beach.

The 41st Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach was set to kick off April 17 through the 19, with major road and sidewalk closures affecting traffic starting Wednesday, April 15.

More than 175,000 people were expected to attend the three-day event in previous years.

Northbound and southbound from Shoreline Drive to Marina Parking lot

Cedar Avenue at Shoreline Drive

Bay Street at Pine Avenue

The Paseo at Pine Avenue and Aquarium Way from Shoreline Drive to Chestnut Avenue

Major restrictions starting Wednesday, April 15 at 7 a.m. to Monday, April 20 at 5 p.m.:

Shoreline Drive westbound from the Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos intersection to 3rd Street on-ramp northbound

Chestnut Avenue southbound and northbound from Seaside Way to Queensway Bridge

Aquarium Way from Shoreline Drive to Chestnut Place

Cedar Avenue at Shoreline Drive

Restrictions starting Wednesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. to Monday, April 20 at 5 p.m.

Shoreline Drive eastbound from Broadway off-ramp to the Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos intersection

Golden Shore on-ramp to Shoreline Drive eastbound

Shoreline Village Drive from Marina Parking lot to Shoreline Drive

The following will be closed during the Toyota Grand Prix competition, but reopened nightly from Friday, April 17 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, April 19 at 7 p.m.

Pine Avenue from Ocean Boulevard to Upper Esplanade

Promenade South from Seaside Way to Shoreline Drive Terminus

Walkway off of Seaside Way from Hart Place to the east end of Seaside Way

Starting Wednesday, April 15 at 7 a.m. until Monday, April 20 at 11:59 p.m., the bike path beginning at Seaside Way and Chestnut Avenue will be restricted to aproximately 400 feet east of the permanent concession stand behind the Villa Riviera.
