Gunfire killed a man in Long Beach Thursday night and police are warning the public that the shooter is on the loose.
The shooting happened about 7:30 p.m. near Seventh Street and Alamitos Avenue (map), said Marlene Arrona, spokeswoman for the Long Beach Police Department.
A description of the shooter was not available by 9 p.m. Thursday, and it was not immediately clear whether the fatal attack was gang-related.
