Los Angeles Dodgers Injury Updates: Kazmir Reinjures Ribs and McCarthy to Return on Sunday

Weekly injury updates for the Los Angeles Dodgers. News on Scott Kazmir, and Brandon McCarthy.

There's just eight games left in the season, so this should be our final Los Angeles Dodgers injury update of the year.

The team is closing in on clinching their fourth consecutive NL West Division title, despite the fact that they set the all-time MLB record for most players on a disabled list this season.

The Dodgers have sent 28 different players to the DL this season, and according to MLB Disabled List Tracker, those players have missed a total of 2,087 days because of injury.

For the most part, there are no new injuries to report, but starting pitcher, Scott Kazmir was activated off the disabled list on Friday, and he re-aggravated a right intercostal injury during the game and was removed after the first inning.

He said he felt his right-side tighten up and thinks with treatment he'll be able to start one last time this season, but at this point, it's doubtful he pitches again in 2016.

Alex Wood and Brett Anderson came off this list, with Wood pitching a scoreless inning of relief on Wednesday, and Anderson starting on Thursday. Brandon McCarthy will be activated and start Sunday's home finale against the Colorado Rockies and has also been removed from this list.
