Lost Man's Jaw Shattered During Vicious Santa Clarita Skate Park Beating

A group used their skateboards as weapons as they set upon the man after he asked for directions

A man's jaw was shattered during a vicious beating after he asked for directions in the parking lot of the Santa Clarita Skate Park.

A group used their skateboards as weapons as they set upon the man on the 20800 block of Centre Pointe Parkway at around 10:30 p.m. on May 5, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.

The victim, who only wanted to be identified as Jacob, is worried that their next victim could suffer even worse injuries if they are not brought to justice.

"If they're willing to do this to me and get away with it, what could happen to the next person that they attack?" Jacob said.

The attack took place after he decided to use a bus to get home rather than drive, as he had been drinking.

After he became lost he approached the skate park, where he said up to 30 people were congregated, to ask for directions.

He spoke to them for a few minutes before he was hit on the back of the head by a skateboard.

"The initial hit, it blindsided me and I was out of it after that," Jacob said.

After the attack he had his shoes and the baseball cap was wearing stolen.

No witnesses have come forward to aid the investigation into the attack, and Jacob is hoping someone will contact law enforcement.

"I'm hoping that maybe there was a young girl or somebody there who has a heart who saw what happened," he said.
