Magnitude-3.7 Quake Strikes Near Big Bear City

    Earthquake rattles the peninsula

    A magnitude-3.7 earthquake struck 5 miles north of Big Bear City on Sunday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

    The temblor hit about 9:55 p.m. at a depth of 4.8 miles, the USGS said. It was felt as far away as Laguna Beach, according to reports on the agency’s website.

    There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
