Police Pursuit Ends in Multi-Car Crash in Beverly Hills

A police pursuit of two people in a stolen vehicle ended in a multi-car crash in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, officials said.

The short pursuit took place about 3 p.m. when the driver refused to pull over for a traffic stop, officials with the Beverly Hill Police Department said.

The driver struck a car, sending both vehicles crashing into a third vehicle at Charleville Boulevard and Roxy Drive, police said. The collisions spread debris across the intersection.

The driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital, where they were in stable condition.
No one else was hurt, police said.

“We are very fortunate that no other people were injured,” said police Sgt. Max Subin.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area.

The driver and passenger face charges of evading police, and possibly charges in connection with the stolen vehicle.
