Mammoth Mountain Open Through Fourth of July Weekend

For those who prefer to spend this Fourth of July weekend on a bed of snow rather than sipping lemonade at a backyard BBQ, you're in luck!

Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort will be open for spring skiing and snowboarding at Main Lodge through Monday.

The California ski area received 362 inches of snow at the main lodge during the 2015-16 season, according to the website. The base of snow at the top of the mountain is 48 inches.

Two lifts - the Gondola and Facelift Express - will run from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Tickets will be offered at about half-off winter prices.
