An 82-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by her 86-year-old husband as he parked his truck in their Menifee garage, accidentally pinning her to the wall.

The incident occurred 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 26800 block of Tropicana Drive, according to Sgt. Sergio Rodriguez of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The man pulled into the garage, misjudging the space and striking some items stored there. When his wife tried to guide him in repositioning the truck, the man lost control and accelerated, pinning his wife against the garage wall.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she died.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, which is still being investigated, is asked to call Officer Jared Howe of the Menifee Police Department Traffic Division at (951) 210-1000.
