A 20-year-old man who was arrested for allegedly committing a string of burglaries in Rialto and Fontana earlier this week has been tied to another set of robberies in San Bernardino, officials said Thursday.
Baejon Thomas of Rialto was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of robbing at a 7-Eleven in Rialto earlier that day.
During the investigation, detectives learned Thomas was allegedly involved in a string of armed robberies in Fontana, including a 7-Eleven located in the 16900 block of Randall Avenue and a Chevron gas station located in the 14500 block of Baseline Road, officials said.
Thomas had been released on bail when San Bernardino detectives found he was also wanted for three robberies that occurred early Monday morning in San Bernardino. He was later arrested and lodged with an enhanced bail of $750,000, according to the Fontana Police Department.
Surveillance video showed Thomas entering a convenience store and pointing a semi-automatic handgun at the clerk demanding money.
The San Bernardino stores included:
- Circle K located at 2734 N. Del Rosa Avenue
- 7-Eleven located at 797 W. Highland Avenue
- 7-Eleven located at 306 W. Baseline Avenue
At the time Thomas was arrested, he was wearing maroon sweatpants and a distinct black letterman's jacket which matched the clothing in the robberies, police said.

Thomas was caught by the Rialto Police Department with the gun allegedly used in all the robberies and the cash taken from the locations. He was booked at West Valley Detention Center on suspicion of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
