A man accused of attacking a woman in the restroom of a Thousand Oaks movie theater last month has been arrested for sexual battery.
Hector Garcia, 18, of Moorpark, was charged Tuesday with sexual battery by restraint and false imprisonment by violence in connection with the May 23 assault.

Police allege Garcia slid under the partition of a bathroom stall in the women’s restroom of the Muvico Theater on Hillcrest Drive and attacked a woman. The 23-year-old victim was able to escape her attacker after a short struggle, and he allegedly fled the movie theater.
After the story appeared on local news, several tips led investigators to Garcia, according to a statement from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
Garcia is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
