A bicyclist was killed Saturday morning after being struck by an alleged drunk driver in Pomona, officials said.

Rick Kyujin Lee was driving a white BMW 335i on Garey Avenue around 2:30 a.m. when he struck a male bicyclist from behind near Philadelphia Street, according to a news release from the Pomona Police Department.

The impact of the crash caused the man, between 40 and 50 years old, to be ejected from his bike. He was taken to a hospital where he later died, police said.

Lee was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after police found evidence at the scene.
