Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Teenage Girl in Perris

The victim alleged that Brian Lamont Brown, 47, assaulted her at his Perris home, police said.

A felon accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl several times at his Perris home was charged Friday with statutory rape and other felonies.

Brian Lamont Brown, 47, pleaded not guilty to the rape count, along with two counts each of sodomy of a child under 16 years old and oral copulation of a child under 16.

Riverside County Superior Court Judge Helios Hernandez set Brown's bail at $100,000 and scheduled a felony settlement conference for June 28 at the Riverside Hall of Justice.

The teen, whose identity was not released, alleged on June 7 that she had been sexually assaulted by Brown at his residence in the 3000 block of Ironwood Court, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Glenn Williams.

How and why the girl allegedly ended up at the house was not disclosed.

After conducting further investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for the property, but did not find Brown home when they attempted to serve the writ, according to Williams.

He said deputies located the defendant about 4 p.m. Wednesday on Frederick Street in Moreno Valley, where he was taken into custody without incident.
