Man Dead in Bell Gardens Shooting

Detectives were investigating the shooting death of a man in Bell Gardens Friday night, sheriff's officials said.

The victim, described only as a Latino man, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 6000 block of Quinn Street near Gephart Street, police said.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Friday, but no further information was available at the time of publication.

LA Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau is investigating the incident, police said.

Nearby residents described hearing several loud gunshots, but authorities could not confirm the details of the shooting late Friday night.
