A man was fatally shot in a drive-by ambush outside his home in Torrance Tuesday evening.
The 40-year-old victim was hit multiple times as he sat in his Chevrolet Suburban on the 1100 block of Milton Street at around 6:08 p.m, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but and later died due to his injuries.
Witnesses told detectives the victim was sitting in his station wagon parked along the curb when a white SUV drove up alongside the victim’s car and shot him.
The suspect’s vehicle then drove away westbound on Milton Street and out of view.
An investigation into the killing is ongoing.
