A man died after he was shot multiple times early Friday morning in South Los Angeles, police said.
The shooting was reported around 1:30 a.m. near 112th Street and Vermont Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers arrived and found a man lying in the street with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital where he died, police said.
Police said the shooter fled southbound on Vermont Avenue toward Imperial Highway.
A description of the shooter was not immediately available.
