A 27-year-old man was fatally shot in Torrance Sunday morning, said sheriff's deputies who were investigating the shooting.
The victim was found bleeding from apparent gunshot wounds in the 22800 block of Berendo Avenue at about 1:10 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies said.
The person who called police and a responding deputy administered CPR but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, deputies said.
Witnesses heard gunshots in the area but didn't see a suspect or, for several minutes, find the victim, said deputies, whose investigation continues.
