Authorities are warning Monterey Park residents of a man who followed a young, female student in the area.
The student, who is a minor, was approached by a man in a small, red pickup truck with a black metal shed at approximately 3 p.m. near Garfield Avenue and Elmgate Street, according to the Monterey Park Police Department.
The driver offered her a ride home on four occasions and followed her for two to three blocks after she declined.
Police estimated the man's age to be between 40 to 50-years-old, is medium-heavy set and has facial hair.
