Sheriff's detectives were assisting El Monte police Wednesday in investigating the death of a man who died from injuries he sustained.
The incident was reported at 6:32 p.m. Tuesday in the 2600 block of Durfee Avenue, said sheriff's Deputy Wally Bracks.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died, Bracks said.
Details about the man's injuries were not immediately available.
No arrests were reported.
