Man Killed in Suspected DUI Hit-and-Run Crash in San Bernardino

A man was killed in a suspected DUI hit-and-run crash in San Bernardino Monday night.

The pedestrian, who was in his late 30s, was hit at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Harrison Street at around 8:52 p.m, a San Bernardino Police Department spokeswoman said.

 After the crash the suspect continued southbound, and ended up hitting a parked BMW and slamming into a tree at Perris Hill Park.

Rudy Guzman, 69, of San Bernardino was arrested and was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash. Investigators said he appeared to have  been under the influence of alcohol.
