Four men held the victim at gunpoint while they searched his house in Bassett.

A Bassett man was robbed by four men pretending to be police officers with a narcotics investigation unit, sheriff’s deputies said Friday.

Around 8:15 a.m. the victim arrived home at a house in the 2200 block of Kella Avenue, where the four robbers escorted him inside and identified themselves as working for a narcotics unit, according to a watch commander with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Industry station.

They held the man at gunpoint and searched the house for drugs and money.

They took $700 from the man before leaving.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Industry station at 626-330-3322.
