A man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his back walked into a Sheriff's station in Compton Wednesday night, police said.
The man walked into the station in need of medical attention around 10:30 p.m. Paramedics arrived at the station and were able to stablize the man before transporting him to a hospital around 11:15 p.m.
Police said the incident is probably the result of a drug deal, which frequently take place behind the nearby courthouse.
The condition of the man was unknown.
