Man Shot Dead in Lancaster Parking Lot Following Argument

The victim, who was in his early 20s, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body

A man shot dead in a parking lot in Lancaster late Friday is thought to have earlier clashed with his killer.

The victim was fatally gunned down on the 600 block of East Avenue H-14 at around 10: 38 p.m, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said. Investigators believe he had got into a dispute with the murderer, who later returned and shot him.

The victim, who was in his early 20s, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and died at the scene. Cinthia Banks, who claimed to be the victim's godsister, identified him as Michael Davis.

"He's a father, he worked every day to take care of his family. His wife is currently pregnant right now." Banks said. "He wasn't no rough neck, he wasn't no gangster. He wasn't just a statistic, that was somebody's son, somebody's brother, somebody's father."

Banks also said the family are hoping anyone with information will come forward to help the investigation.

Witnesses described a suspect in his early 20s possibly fled the scene in a black pick-up truck.

Homicide detectives are currently investigating at the scene.
